I didn't have claims last year. Can I get a discount?

Of course you can. All insurers would love to have a claim free driver like you. Just send us the no claims certificate from your previous insurer and we’ll get you better rates.

How do I get a no claims certificate?

Just contact your previous insurer and ask them to provide a no claim certificate. They may charge you a little but it may be worth the discount you’ll be getting.

Can Yalla Insure get me the no claims certificate?

Unfortunately NO. Its hard to admit but there are some things that even we might not be able to do.

What is comprehensive motor insurance?

Comprehensive motor insurance covers you against loss, damage and third-party liability. You also get protection against: Damage to your car due to accidental collision, overturning, fire, external explosion, self-ignition, theft, or a malicious act unless specifically excluded. Legal liability and agreed costs and expenses against third party bodily injury/ property damage arising out of use of motor vehicles unless specifically excluded.

Wow!! That's quite comprehensive. Should I buy comprehensive insurance?

Duh!! Sorry to be mean, but it’s that obvious that you should buy a comprehensive insurance.

Just out of curiosity, what does a third party liability policy cover?

Since you insist on knowing, a third party liability is the most basic cover and is compulsory as per the UAE law. Third-party liability covers you against: Death or bodily injury to any third party/person. Damages to third party property arising out of the use of your car. This policy does not cover any damage or loss to your own car

I’m new to the UAE and don’t have a UAE driving license yet. Can I still get a quote?

Unfortunately NO. Though, we’d love to insure you, we can only provide quotations to drivers holding a valid UAE driving license. The best way to get a quote is by converting your foreign license into a UAE one and then applying for a car insurance. Please contact the RTA to find out more about converting your license.

I’m about to buy my car, so I don’t have a registration number yet. Can I still get a quote?

Congrats on your future car. And yes you can still get a quote. Just enter the details of the car that you are going to buy and we can provide you with our quote.

Does my motor insurance premium depend on my age?

Yes it does. Most companies have a higher insurance price for drivers below the age of 25.

My brother wants to drive my car. Can I add him to my policy?

It’s great that you’ll be sharing your car with your brother. Some insurers allow for multiple drivers to be covered under the same policy. If this is allowed, we can add your brother or another named driver after your purchase the policy.

How do I pay for my policy?

It’s simple. It’s like any other online purchase. Just enter your debit/credit card details and check out with your policy.

I think I changed my mind. Can I cancel my policy?

That depends on the insurance company that you buy the policy from. However boring it may seem, please refer to the terms and conditions of each insurer before you buy your policy.

My policy is up for renewal. What do I do?

You’ll get an email from us with the renewal notice. Just follow the instructions in the email and we will renew the policy for you.

Am I eligible for rewards for my renewal?

Yes you are. Of course we will reward you. Just choose what reward you want from our selection and we will deliver it to you once you purchase your policy.

Help!! I've lost my car insurance policy. What should I do?

Just get in touch with us and we’ll arrange for a copy.

Do I need to send my insurance policy to RTA for my registration?

No you don’t have to. Once you purchase your policy and send us the documents, it’ll automatically get updated on the system. Isn’t that cool.

What do I do incase I have a claim?

Firstly, we pray that you don’t have claims. In the unfortunate event of a claim, just contact the insurance company directly so that they can directly sort out your situation without anyone else intervening in the process.

I’ve had an accident and my car’s gone to the garage. What should I do?

Relax, we’ve got you covered. Just select the replacement car option when you buy your policy and you’ll get a free rent a car while your car is being repaired.

Can I take my car to a garage of my choice?

That depends on the option you choose. If your car is brand new or is just about a year old, then select the option of having Agency Repair. That lets you take your car to the dealer and allows you to get it fixed.

My car is older and I can’t get Agency repair. Where do I go?

Most insurance companies have a wide network of high quality garages. Just contact your insurance company and they can direct you to the right garage.

My dad wants to buy a policy, but likes to do it the pre-historic way by calling the agent. What should he do?

Don’t worry. Some things are better old fashioned. Just ask him to call our hotline and our agents can assist with him with a quote.

I have a question that isn’t answered here. Can you help me out?

Can I get a quote for my company car?

Yes you can. Just enter the details of the car along with the driver details to get a quote. We would just need additional documents regarding your company once we purchase your policy.

Sometimes, I receive a message, “Sorry, we’re unable to provide you with an online quote”. Why?

Oh God!! We hate it when that happens. Sometimes your car may be of a higher value or may not be of a GCC specification, which does not allow us to provide standard quotes. But you need not worry, you can just call us and we can get you a competitive quote from other insurance companies.

I’m selling my car. Can I transfer the insurance to the buyer?

Unfortunately, NO. Your insurance is dependent on you as the driver. Therefore, the new driver will have to enter his details to get a new quote. Just refer him/her to us and we’ll help him/her out with a great deal and a reward.
